Mikko Koskinen, born July 18 1988 in Vantaa, Finland, is a Finnish Goaltender for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL. He played for the Espoo Blues in the SM-Liiga. Koskinen was drafted by the New York Islanders in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He was their 1st selection in the second round (31st pick overall) and was the first goalie taken in the draft as well as the first Finnish player selected. He was the #2 ranked European Goaltender by Central Scouting prior to the draft.
