Michael Richard Tomlak (born October 17, 1965 in Thunder Bay, Ontario) is a former professional ice hockey centre who played four seasons for the Hartford Whalers of the National Hockey League.

Tomlak was drafted 208th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. He played 141 career NHL games, scoring 15 goals and 22 assists for 37 points.

He played junior hockey with the Cornwall Royals from 1982-85 and then went to the University of Western Ontario from 1986-89.

The Hartford Whalers signed him as a free agent in 1989 as a free agent. He played two seasons with the Whalers but then went to the minors.

He played for HDD Olimpija Ljubljana in 1998-99 and then retired.
