Michael Donnelly (born October 10, 1963, in Livonia, Michigan) is a former left wing. He played in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers, Buffalo Sabres, Los Angeles Kings, Dallas Stars, and New York Islanders.
He was not drafted by an NHL team. He was signed as a free agent by the New York Rangers in 1986 after a great 4 year career with the Michigan State Spartans.
Donnelly spent most of his career in the minors until 1991-92 when he caught fire with the Los Angeles Kings. He scored 29 goals and 40 assists with the Kingsin 1992-93.
He spent much of the remainder of his career in the minors until he retired in 1998.
In his NHL career, Donnelly appeared in 465 games. He scored 114 goals and added 121 assists. He is currently a scout for the Kings.
