Michigan Stadium is the football stadium of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It has a capacity in excess of 100,000.
It was the home of The Big Chill at the Big House, a hockey game between the University of Michigan and Michigan State University to be played on December 11,2010.
The 2013 NHL Winter Classic was scheduled to be held here as well but was cancelled due to the 2012 NHL Lockout. The Detroit Red Wings were supposed to host the Toronto Maple Leafs.
After the lockout was settled, the same two teams were announced to be particpating in the 2014 NHL Classic on January 1, 2014.
