The Michigan Hockey League was an independent Junior ice hockey league in the United States that initially planned to begin play in 2005-06. The Port Huron Ice Cutters, Hazel Park Stallions, St. Clair Shores, and Downriver Steamers were slated to play in the league for its inaugural season. A squad in Cadillac known as the Trappers Hockey Club fell through.

It was also planned for the Kalkaska Coyotes, Detroit Gamblers (initially intended to play in Mount Pleasant), Holland Flying Dutchmen, Gladwin Gladiators, and Traverse Bay Arrows (based in Petoskey) to join the league in a 2006 expansion. [1]

The starting date for the league was pushed back to 2006-07, and then again to 2007-08.[2] The MHL eventually folded without playing a single game.
