Michel was a town in southeastern British Columbia, Canada.
In 1967 the provincial government moved everyone out of Michel and bullozed virtually all the buildings. Thsi was because of the ugliness and dangerous living conditions in this coal-mining town. Most people moved to Sparwood which is about 5 Kilometers away.
