
Merlyn "Bill" Phillips (May 24, 1899 – January 10, 1978) was a professional ice hockey player who played 303 games in the National Hockey League. He would play with the Montreal Maroons and New York Americans. He won a Stanley Cup in 1926 with the Montreal Maroons.
He played for the senior Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds from 1919 to 1926, winning the Allan Cup in 1924.
In 1925-26 he turned pro with the Montreal Maroons and won the Stanley Cup. He played with the Maroons until 1932-33 when he jumped to the New York Americans. He retired at the end of that season.
He was born in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
