Max "Maxie" Bennett (November 4, 1912 – January 5, 1972) was a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger who played in one National Hockey League game for the Montreal Canadiens during the 1935–36 NHL season.

He played senior hockey in the Sudbury area and with the Hamilton Tigers from 1930 to 1935. The Montreal Canadiens signed him as a free agent in 1935.

Bennett was assigned to their farm team the Springfield Indians in 1935-36 and was also called up for one game in the NHL.

That turned out to be his only NHL exposure. Bennett spent ten years in the International American Hockey League and its successor the American Hockey League and retired in 1945.

In 1945-46 Bennett coached the Washington Lions in the Eastern Hockey League.
