Maurice Croghan


Maurice "Moe" Croghan (November 19, 1914 – February 7, 1979) was a professional ice hockey defenceman who played 16 games in the National Hockey League. Born in Montreal, Quebec, he played with the Montreal Maroons.

He played junior hockey for the Verdun Maple Leafs and the Montreal Junior Royals from 1933 to 1936. Then he played senior hockey for the Montreal Royals, Verdun Maple Leafs, and the Quebec Aces.

In 1937 he was signed as a free agent by the Montreal Maroons. He played in 16 games in 1937-38 without registering a point.

After this he played minor pro and senior hockey until he retired in 1941.
