Mattias Ritola (born March 14, 1987, in Borlänge, Dalarna County) is a professional Swedish ice hockey player.
Playing career[]
Ritola was drafted 103rd overall in the fourth round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Detroit Red Wings. He plays center for the Detroit Red Wings and their AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins. Ritola played his first NHL game with the Red Wings on March 15, 2008 against Nashville Predators. Ritola did not qualify to be engraved on the cup. He was awarded a Stanley Cup ring, and he was included on the 2008 Detroit Red Wings Stanley Cup picture.
