Matthias Bieber (born March 14, 1986) is a Swiss professional ice hockey player who is currently playing for Kloten Flyers in Switzerland's National League A.
He participated at the 2011 IIHF World Championship as a member of the Switzerland men's national ice hockey team.[1]
Bieber gained over 3000 followers on Twitter overnight when the Norwegian late night satirical Olympics TV-show "FC Sotsji" on February 14th 2014 asked their viewers to be "true Beliebers" and follow Matthias Bieber on the social network. Aleksander Schau and Thomas Aune of "FC Sotsji" later said that the goal is to reach 10,000 followers before the Olympic Games ends on February 23rd. As of February 18th 2014, Bieber has 10,737 followers on Twitter. On February 15th Bieber tweeted: "What's going on in Norway!!! #crazynorwegians #keepitcoming".
