Matt Hervey (born May 16, 1966) is an American former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played 35 games in the National Hockey League with the Winnipeg Jets, Boston Bruins, and Tampa Bay Lightning.
He spent his major junior career in the Western Hockey League with three different teams from 1983-87. Undrafted by an NHL team, he was signed by the Winnipeg Jets.
Hervey's career was spent as an enforcer and a utilty player. He had brief spells in the National Hockey League but spent most of his pro career in the minors.
He retired in 1996. His NHL totals included no goals, 5 assists, and 97 penalty minutes.
