The Maryland Black Bears are a USA Hockey-sanctioned ice hockey team from Odenton, Maryland. The team was added as an expansion team in the North American Hockey League on April 12, 2018 to begin play with the 2018-19 season. The team is scheduled to play out of the Piney Orchard Ice Arena in Odenton, Maryland.[1] The name of the team was announced on May 8, 2018.[2]
