Martin Nicholas Pavelich (born November 6, 1927 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario) is a Canadian former left winger. He played ten seasons for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League from 1947 until 1957.
Pavelich played for the Detroit Red Wings junior farm team Galt Red Wings of the Ontario Hockey Association from 1944-47. Exceprt for two part seasons with the Indianapolis Capitols, Pavelich was a regular with Detroit for 10 seasons until 1956-57.
Pavelich played 634 career NHL games, scoring 93 goals and 159 assists for 252 points. He won the Stanley Cup four times in his career (1950, 1952, 1954, 1955), and as a result also played in four all-star games.
In 1957 Ted Lindsay was traded (banished) to the Chicago Black Hawks for union activities. Lindsay then announced that his business partner, Pavelich, would look after his interests in Detroit.
