Martin Lapointe (born 12 September, 1973 in Lachine, Quebec) is a professional ice hockey right winger who currently plays for the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL.
Lapointe was selected 10th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. Lapointe has played in 757 career NHL games as of the last completed NHL season, scoring 148 goals and 165 assists for 313 points. He has also compiled 1,143 career penalty minutes. He has won 2 Stanley Cups in 1997 and 1998.
Lapointe served as captain for the later half of the 2005-06 season due to Adrian Aucoin's extended absence through injury.
