Marquis Mathieu (born May 31, 1973 in Hartford, Connecticut) was a professional ice hockey player who played 16 games in the National Hockey League for the Boston Bruins. He was known as a tough and hard-nosed centre.

He played Tier II Junior "A" for the Hawkesbury Hawks in 1990-91 and major junior for the Beauport Harfangs and the St. Jean Lynx from 1990 to 1993. Undrafted by the NHL, Mathieu played five seasons of minor pro (mostly in the ECHL) until 1998.

In 1998 the Boston Bruins signed him. He got into 16 games with the Bruins over three years, mostly as an injury replacement. Mathieu scored two assists in his NHL career.

From 2001 to 2008 Mathieu played in the ECHL, the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey, the American Hockey League, and a few games in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. He retired in 2009.
