Mario Chitarroni (born June 11, 1967 in Cobalt, Ontario) is a retired Italian-Canadian centre.

He played junior hockey for the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League from 1984 to 1987. Undrafted by any NHL team, Chitarroni turned pro with the Flint Spirits in 1986-87.

In 1989-90 he moved to Italy to play for HC Alleghe. He returned to North America one last time in 1994-95 to play for the Houston Aeros.

From 1996 to 2002 Chitarroni played in Germany with the Eisbären Berlin and Nuremberg Ice Tigers.

In 2002 he returned to Italy with the Milano Vipers, with whom he played until 2006-07. After that Chitarroni played two seasons with HC Alleghe and retired in 2009.

He played for Italy at the 2005 and 2008 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships and the 2006 Olympics.
