Mahwah is the northernmost and largest municipality by geographic area (26.19 square miles (67.8 km2)) in Bergen County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 25,487.
The community is home to Ramapo College which previously had a team playing in the ECAC Division III from 1976-77 to 1980-81, the Ramapo Roadrunners men's ice hockey.
