Team history
The Ice Muskies were originally announced as part of the Midwest Hockey League for the MWHL's inaugural 2009-10 season. Following the league's merger with the All American Hockey League on August 10, 2009, the team was absorbed into the AAHL [2].
On January 16, 2010, the AAHL announced that the team had been forced to cease operations, citing neglect by the team's owners[3].
The team will look to make a come back for the 2010-2011 AAHL season under new ownership.
