MacKenzie Thurston is a women's ice hockey player that competed for the Ottawa Senators of the PWHL. She is currently a member of the Bemidji State Beavers.

PWHL[edit | edit source]

With the Ottawa Senators of the PWHL, she won a silver medal during the 2007-08 season.

Bemidji State[edit | edit source]

The first goal of her NCAA career was scored on October 17, 2009 versus Ohio State. Thirteen days later, she would score her second career goal (against the Wayne State Warriors). During her sophomore season, she logged two assists. One of the assists was on Kimberly Lieder’s first NCAA goal (on January 29, 2010). She would be one of only seven players to appear in all of Bemidji State’s 37 contests during the 2011-12 season. She logged a career high 15 points. Her only goal of the season came in a January 13, 2012 match versus Ohio State.

Personal[edit | edit source]

She played for the Ottawa Fury soccer club from 2005 to 2008, and was named Team MVP in 2007. Her sister Taylor Thurston, competes for the Nepean Wildcats of the PWHL.
