Lukáš Jašek (born on August 28, 1997 in Třinec) is a Czech ice hockey right winger/center currently playing on loan with the HC Oceláři Třinec of the Tipsport Extraliga while under contract with the Vancouver Canucks of the NHL. He was selected 174th overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Club career[]

Jašek began his junior career with the HC Oceláři Třinec organisation. In the 2013-14 season, he played with the Södertälje SK organisation. In 2014, Jašek moved back to the HC Oceláři Třinec organisation and in the 2014-15 season made his senior debut playing 27 regular season games and 1 play-off game with the HC Oceláři Třinec of the Tipsport Extraliga while also playing 2 play-off games with the HC Oceláři Třinec under-eighteen team and 24 games with the HC Oceláři Třinec junior team.

In the 2015-16 season, Jašek played 14 regular season games and 10 play-off games with the junior team of the HC Oceláři Třinec, 25 regular season games and 1 play-off game with the HC Oceláři Třinec of the Tipsport Extraliga, 2 games on loan with the AZ Havířov of the WSM Liga and 2 games on loan with the HC Oceláři Třinec's farm team, the HC Frýdek-Místek of the 2. Liga.

The 2016-17 season was Jašek's last junior season. He played 2 regular season games and 6 play-off games with the HC Oceláři Třinec junior team, 16 regular season games and 4 play-off games with the HC Oceláři Třinec of the Tipsport Extraliga and 30 regular season games and 8 play-off games on loan with the HC Frýdek-Místek now playing in the WSM Liga.

Jašek began the next season with the Bílí Tygři Liberec of the Tipsport Extraliga where he played 48 regular season games and 10 play-off games. He also played 4 games with their farm team HC Benátky nad Jizerou of the WSM Liga. After the end of the season in Europe, Jašek moved to North America to finish the season with the Utica Comets of the AHL. He played there 6 regular season games and 1 play-off game in the 2017-18 season.

In 2018 - 2020, Jašek stayed with the Utica Comets of the AHL.

Jašek, signed with the Vancouver Canucks of the NHL, began the 2020-21 season on loan with the HC Oceláři Třinec of the Tipsport Extraliga to play there before the North American season starts.

International career[]

Jašek played with the Czech National Team at the 2014 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament winning the silver medal, at the 2015 World U18 Championship and at the 2017 World Junior Championship.
