History[]
This league operated on the south shore of the St Lawrence River northeast of Quebec City near the New Brunswick border.
After the Lac St Jean Senior League folded as a senior league in 1953, there was room for a new senior league in Quebec. This league had previously been an intermediate level league and went on a bit of a spending binge to raise itself to the senior level.
It only lasted as a senior league for one season (1953-54) as it could not support the finances necessary to survive.
Later on the league kept on going as an outlaw league. Outlaw meant that it operated outside the jurisdiction of the provincial association. It much later became the Quebec-New Brunswick Hockey League.
