The Long Island Royalsare a USA Hockey sanctioned junior hockey team playing in the Eastern Hockey League, which it joined for the 2017-18 season. The team was originally a member of the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League (which was renamed the North American 3 Atlantic Hockey League for the 2016-17 season). The team was added to the league for the 2007-08 season. The team is based out of the Dix Hills Ice Rink in Huntington, New York after being previously based out of the Ice Works Syosset in Syosset, New York.
The team won the 2008 USA Hockey Tier III Junior B National Championship after winning the regular season and playoff championships in the MJHL.
The team won the 2011 MJHL playoffs and were a semifinalist at the national tournament.
The team won the silver medal at the 2012 USA Hockey Tier III Junior National Championship tournament.
