Listowel Memorial Arena

The Listowel Memorial Arena is an indoor arena located in Listowel, Ontario.  The arena opened in 1961 on the site of the former Listowel Arena which was destroyed on February 28, 1959 when the roof collapsed killing seven young boys and their coach.

The arena was built with the remnants of the original building that survived the collapse.  On the 30th anniversary of the collapse a memorial plaque was dedicated at the current arena.
