Leigh Verstraete (born January 6, 1962 in Calgary, Alberta) is a professional ice hockey right winger who played eight games in the National Hockey League. He played with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

He played junior hockey for the Billings Bighorns and the Calgary Wranglers from 1978 to 1982. He got over 300 penalty minutes in his last two years. The Toronto Maple Leafs chose him 192nd overall in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft.

He turned pro with the St. Catharines Saints in 1982-83 and got called up to the Leafs for three games. Over the next five years he played in the Leafs' minor pro system and was called up for a total of eight games, scoring one assist. He always got over 100 penalty minutes in each full season that he played.

Verstraete retired in 1988.
