Playing career[]

At Lexington High School in Massachusetts, she earned four letters in ice hockey. In addition, she was the captain in her senior season. In 87 career games at Lexington, she logged 111 career points. She also played for eight years with the Assabet Valley Girls hockey team and participated in six consecutive top three finishes at the US National Tournament. Of those six top three finishes, one included a national championship in 2003.

NCAA[]

In the autumn of 2007, Riley joined the Friars. Her first career NCAA point came on November 25, 2008 with an assist versus the Vermont Catamounts. She scored her first goal as a Friar on November 15, 2009, in a 6-2 win over Boston University. During the 2009-10, her +7 rating led all defenders on the Friars.

Personal[]

Her sister, Nina Riley, joined the Providence Friars in 2010.[2] In their hometown of Lexington, Massachusetts, the sisters have been part of a local effort to aid special-needs children.[3]
