Laura Fridfinnson (born February 2, 1988) is a women’s ice hockey player for the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs. With the Bulldogs, she is a two time NCAA champion (2008, 2010)
Playing career[]
Fridfinnson skated for Team Manitoba from 2003-05 and was team captain in her final year.
NCAA[]
Her freshman year was in 2007-08. From January 2008 onward, she registered 30 points. In the 2008 Frozen Four, she registered two goals and an assist. Her 44 points was sixth all time amongst Bulldog rookie scorers. Her 1.13 points per game ranked fourth in the NCAA. Her 22 goals ranked second among Bulldogs skaters, eight scored on the Power Play.

On January 28 and 29, 2011, Fridfinnson recorded three goals as the Bulldogs swept Bemidji State. In the sweep, Fridfinnson earned a +3 plus/minus rating. She helped UMD hold the Beavers to just two power-play goals in 11 opportunities. On January 28, she scored back-to-back tallies 1:14 and 4:32 of the second period to help her club build a 3-1 advantage.
For a second consecutive week, she was named the WCHA's Player of the Week. Versus MSU Mankato, she had a six point performance. On February 4, she had a goal and three assists. In addition, she earned a +4 rating. The following day, she had an assist on the game-winning goal one minute into the game. Since Jan. 21, 2011, she has registered five goals and six assists in her last six games for 11 points.[1]
Hockey Canada[]
In September 2007, she participated for a second straight year in the Canadian National Team Fall Festival. In the 2007 U-22 Canada-US series in Lake Placid, NY, she netted a goal in each of the first two contests. Fridfinnson participated and won the Air Canada Cup in 2007 and the MLP Cup in 2009.

Personal[]
A team was named after her at the 2007 Female Atom Hockey Festival presented by the Manitoba Moose on December 29, at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg. [5] On September 13, 2010, Fridfinnson had the opportunity to meet United States president Barack Obama.[6]
