Lawrence Brian Romanchych

Selected by Chicago Blackhawks 2nd round (#24) in 1969 NHL Amateur Draft
He played junior hockey for the Brandon Wheat Kings and the Flin Flon Bombers. The Chicago Blackhawks chose him 24th overall in the 1969 NHL Amateur Draft.
Except for 10 games with the Hawks in 1970-71, he spent the first three years of his pro career with the Dallas Black Hawks. The Atlanta Flames picked him up in the 1972 NHL Expansion Draft.
Romanchych blossomed with the Flames, playing four and a half seasons there. He scored a career high 22 goals in 1973-74.
In 1976-77 he was demoted to the Tulsa Oilers. The next year, his last in hockey, was with the Maine Mariners.
He played in 298 NHL games, scoring 68 goals and 97 assists.
Romanchych coached the Abottsford Falcons of the British Columbia Hockey League in 1985-86 and 1986-87.
