Larry Bignell (born January 7, 1950) is a retired professional Ice hockey defenceman from Edmonton, Alberta. Bignell was drafted by Pittsburgh Penguins as 2nd round, 35th pick in 1970 NHL Amateur Draft.
Playing career[]
Larry Bignell had his chance in NHL during 1973–74 NHL season when he got to play 20 games. Bignell had 3 assists during the season. Bignell got his second break when he played three games in 1974–75 NHL playoffs.
After his two short attempts with the Pens, Bignell played the reminder of his career in AHL teams.
Bignell's last top level attempt happened during 1975–76 WHA season when he played for Denver Spurs and Ottawa Civics in WHA.
Bignell retired in 1977.
