This team was formed from Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) units in and around Lachine, Quebec. They were a senior team in the Quebec Senior Hockey League in 1943-44.
The name Alouettes came from an RCAF squadron serving in Europe.
They were forced to wthdraw in December because the RCAF had decided that its hockey teams could not play in civilian leagues.
