History[edit | edit source]

This was a senior league that operated in the Saguenay Valley & Lac St Jean regions of Quebec. The teams were eligible for the Allan Cup.

The league ran for only three seasons, from 1950 to 1953.

It moved from the intermediate level to senior when the Quebec Senior Hockey League, the province's only senior league, moved up to the Major level in 1950.

It folded in 1953 when the Jonquiere Aces dissolved. A junior team, the Jonquiere Marquis, was starting up and there was no room in town for two teams.
