Kristy Zamora was an ice hockey player for the Brown Bears women’s ice hockey program. In addition, Zamora participated for the Mississauga Chiefs in the semi-finals of the 2010 Clarkson Cup.

Career highlights[]

  • 1998-99: Kristy Zamora was the top scoring freshman on the Brown Bears with 22 points. For the season, Zamora had a pair of powerplay goals and two game-winning goals. Earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors after posting 1-2-3 totals at Cornell and St. Lawrence ... A Sakuma Award winner for her perfect attendance at all practices and games. [1]
  • 1999-2000: As a sophomore with Brown, she had twenty-one points (twelve goals and nine assists). Of her 12 goals, four were scored in ECAC and AWCHA Tournament play.
  • 2000-01: Zamora was the top returning goal scorer for the Bears from the previous season. Zamora appeared in all 29 games for the team. [2]
  • 2001-02: From December 8-9, 2001, Kristy Zamora registered four points in Brown's two games. She had an assist in the Saturday loss to the Northeastern Huskies women's ice hockey program. The Huskies prevailed 2-1. Zamora got the assist on the Bears goal scored by Jessica Link. On Sunday, December 9, Zamora got a hat trick as the Bears beat the Providence Friars women's ice hockey program by a 4-0 score. Two of her goals were scored in the third period in a twenty-five second span. It was Zamora's first hat trick of the season. The last hat trick (registered in 2001) also came against the Friars in February 2001. [3] She would lead the Bears in scoring that season with 56 points (35 goals, 21 assists). [4]
