History[]
The Kitchener-Waterloo Beavers were a minor professional team in Kitchener, Ontario.
They played in the Eastern Professional Hockey League from 1960-62. The Beavers were a farm team of the New York Rangers of the NHL.
The Beavers were formed in 1960 when the Trois-Rivières Lions moved in 1960. They displaced the senior Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen of the Ontario Hockey Association.
In 1962 the New York Rangers moved their farm team to the new Baltimore Clippers of the American Hockey League. To fill the gap, the Rangers moved their Ontario Hockey Association junior A farm team from the Guelph Royals to the Kitchener Rangers.
