Kiruna AIF was founded in 1927 in Kiruna, Sweden. The hockey club was founded in 1945.
The hockey club made the top league in the country in only one season - 1973-74. It only managed to play in the league with the help of some local fundraising efforts.
The hockey club disappeared in 1988 when Kiruna AIF's team merged with the HC Kiruna to form IF Kiruna.
