Playing career[]
After five seasons in the WHL with stops with the Saskatoon Blades, Lethbridge Hurricanes and Brandon Wheat Kings, Law signed as a free agent with the IHL's Orlando Solar Bears in the summer of 1998 and split the 1998-99 season with Orlando and the AHL's Adirondack Red Wings.
Law spent the better part of the 1999-00 season with the AHL's Louisville Panthers and one game with Orlando before being acquired by the Philadelphia Flyers in a three-way trade with the Atlanta Thrashers and Carolina Hurricanes. Upon being acquired by the Flyers, Law was assigned to the team's AHL affiliate the Philadelphia Phantoms where he would finish the season.
Following some strong play with the Phantoms during the 2000-01 season, Law went on to make his NHL debut with the Flyers later that year before returning to the Phantoms the following year. After another solid season with the AHL club in 2001-02, Law went on to play two games with the parent club during the 2002-03 season, while seeing most of his action with the Phantoms.
Law went on to play parts of five seasons with the Flyers organization before being acquired by the Minnesota Wild in the summer of 2004.
After spending two seasons with the Wild's AHL affiliate Houston Aeros, Law left for Europe where he played in Russia and Switzerland.
