Katie Starke (born July 1, 1990) was a women’s ice hockey player that competed for the Ajax, Ontario based Durham Jr. Lightning of the PWHL.[1]
On August 3, 2008, Starke was crowned as Miss Teen Canada World. She represented Canada in Houston, Texas at the 2008 Miss Teen World Pageant. Starke graduated from high school with honors and committed to play women's ice hockey for York University. She was also a finalist at the Miss Universe Canada 2010 Beauty Pageant.[2]
She was eligible to play for the York Lions women's ice hockey program during the 2009-13- seasons[3] but did not appear in any games because of a severe concussion in a York University pre-season game.[4]
