Kassidy Sauvé is a womens ice hockey goaltender from Ontario. She has been invited to the Canadian Under 18 training camp (to take place in the summer of 2012).

Playing career[]

As a member of the Whitby Wildcats, Sauve became the first female goaltender to compete in the OHL Cup (a minor hockey tournament in Ontario). [1]. In the 2012 tourney, Sauve appeared in two games and posted a record of 0-1-1 with a goals against average of 2.38. For the 2012-13 campaign, Sauve will compete in the PWHL, marking the first time that she has competed against females.

Hockey Canada[]

In summer 2013, Sauve was invited to attend the Hockey Canada Goaltending Camp in Calgary. [2]. On March 26, 2014, she earned her first international shutout in a 5-0 win for Canada against the Czech Republic at the 2014 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship.

Ohio State[]

In her freshman season with the Buckeyes, Sauve led all WCHA backstops in shutouts (6), save percentage (.925) and goals against average (1.98)[3]. Of note, her six shutouts were the second-highest single season total in Buckeyes history.
