History[]
The first season for IK Köping was 1993/1994, when they played in Division 3 Värmland/Örebro without managing to get to Division 2. During the rest of the 1990s, the KHC was a middle team in Division 3. At the series diversion in 1999, Köping was placed in Division 2 Örebro/Värmland, which was changed to Division 2 Västmanland the following season. The team played at the top of the series in the next seasons in Division 2.
The 2002/2003 season won their basic series and managed to qualify for Division 1, where they finished seventh. Due to poorly managed finances, the club had to waive their place in the series and became without a team in the following season.][ For the 2005/2006 season, Köping HC had recovered and got together a senior team that won Division 3 Västmanland/Örebro County and qualified for Division 2. Since the 2015/2016 season, they qualified for Division 1 again.
