Jyri Niemi (born June 15,1990 in Tampere, Finland) is a Finnish ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the Saskatoon Blades of the major junior Western Hockey League. He was chosen 72nd overall by the New York Islanders in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
He has been playing for the Blades since the 2007-08 season.
Niemi has played for Finland in the 2009 and the 2010 World Junior Championships.
