Justin Taylor (born January 1, 1983 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a professional ice hockey centre currently with the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL.
Junior career[]
Taylor's juniors career began in 1999, when he signed to play with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the WHL. In one season with Medicine Hat, Taylor scored one goal and five assists for six points in 39 games. Taylor would not play juniors again until 2002 when he signed with the Camrose Kodiaks of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Taylor would go on to score 35 points in 45 games with the Kodiaks.
After his successful campaign in the AJHL, Taylor would return to the WHL with the Red Deer Rebels for the 2003-04 campaign. In his return to the WHL, Taylor would score 38 goals in 57 regular season games and 16 points in 19 playoff games while leading Red Deer to the WHL Eastern Conference Finals.
Professional career[]
Taylor would make his professional debut in 2004 after signing with the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League. In his first professional season, Taylor would notch eight goals and three assists for 11 points in 62 games for Lowell. The following year, Taylor would sign with the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights (the relocated franchise that used to be the Saint John Flames). In two season for Omaha, Taylor amassed 55 points in 124 regular season games, while scoring two goals in six playoff games.
Following Omaha's move to Moline, Illinois, Taylor decided sign with the Norfolk Admirals scoring three goals and two assists for five points in seven games with Norfolk. During the 2008 preseason, Taylor would sign a tryout agreement with the ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers and impressed head coach and general manager Glen Gulutzan enough that he added Taylor to the team for upcoming season. While with Las Vegas, Taylor received a call up by the Houston Aeros in which he played two games before being returned to Las Vegas.
