Junior "B" (junior AA in Quebec) was created in 1933, to differentiate between teams capable for Memorial Cup competition and those who were not. It is the most broadly spread out and used level of ice hockey in Canada. Junior "B" is the third tier of junior hockey and has a vast amount of pro alumni.
