Jukka Jalonen (born on November 2, 1962 in Riihimäki) is a Finnish professional ice hockey coach and former forward. He is the current head coach of Finnish National Team.
In the 2011-12 season was Jalonen introduced into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame as the 210th Jääkiekkoleijona.
Club career[]
In 1979 - 1982, Jalonen was playing with the Ahmat Hyvinkää of the II-divisioona.
Then he played one season with the junior team of the JYP organisation.
In 1983 - 1985, Jalonen played with the JyP HT of the I-divisioona and in the 1985-86 season, he stayed with the team now playing the SM-liiga.
Then he played in the 1988-89 season with his old club, the Ahmar Hyvinkää of the II-divisioona.
International career[]
As a coach, Jalonen represented Finland at the 1992 and 1996 World U17 Hockey Challenges (winning silver at the 1996 tournament), 1995 European U18 Championship (winning there gold), 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2019 World Championships (winning bronze in 2008 and gold in 2011 and 2019), 2010 Olympics and at the 2016 World Junior Championship (winning there gold).

As a coach, Jalonen won the SM-liiga in 2006 and won the Kalevi Numminen Trophy for the SM-liiga coach of the year in the same season. In the 2010-11 and 2015-16 season was Jalonen named the Finnish Coach of the Year. He also participated at the 2013, 2014 and 2018 KHL All-Star Games.
