Josh Sciba (born February 6, 1985 in Westland, Michigan) is former ice hockey player and current head coach.

Playing Career[]

He played juniors with the Compuware Ambassadors and the USA Hockey National Team Development Program. He was a member of US team at the 2003 IIHF World U18 Championships (finishing 4th). He would be a member of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish men's ice hockey team from 2003-04 to 2006-07 compiling 38 goals and 34 assists for 72 points in his four seasons and a 2007 CCHA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament championship. He would play with the Bakersfield Condors (ECHL), Las Vegas Wranglers, and Dayton Bombers during the 2007-08 ECHL season compiling 9 goals and 1 assist. He would retire from playing after the 2007-08 season.

Coaching Career[]

He would serve as an assistant head coach for the Niagara Purple Eagles women's ice hockey team from 2008-09 to 2010-11. He would then serve as head coach of the team for the 2011-12 season compiling a 10-16-8 record. On March 19, 2012 the university announced that it was cancelling the women's hockey program. He would then serve as an assistant coach with the Colgate Raiders women's ice hockey women's ice hockey team from 2012-13 to 2015-16. He would become the head coach of the Union Dutchwomen ice hockey team starting with the 2016-17 season. He has a record of 47-168-23 as if the end of the 2022-23 season. He would also serve as an assistant coach with the United States women's national U-18 ice hockey team at the 2019 IIHF Women's U18 World Championship (winning a silver medal) and 2020 IIHF Women's U18 World Championship (winning a gold medal). He would serve as an assistant coach of the United States women's national ice hockey team at the 2022 IIHF Women's World Championship (winning a silver medal) and 2023 IIHF Women's World Championship (winning a gold medal).
