
Jordy Paul Douglas

Selected by Toronto Maple Leafs 5th round (#81) in 1978 NHL Amateur Draft
is a retired professional ice hockey left winger who played 268 games in the National Hockey League and 51 games in the World Hockey Association. He played for the Hartford Whalers, Minnesota North Stars, and Winnipeg Jets.
Douglas played junior for the Flin Flon Bombers and scored 116 points in 1977-78. He was picked 81st overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft but instead signed with the New England Whalers of the World Hockey Association.
In 1978-79 he only managed to play part of the season with the Whalers, scoring only 16 points. The followings season the Whalers transferred to the NHL and managed to keep Douglas on their roster. He responded with 33 goals and 24 assists.
That was the high point of his career. Douglas only scored 22 points in 1981-82 and was traded to the Minnesota North Stars. In the middle of the next season he was accquired by the Winnipeg Jets.
Douglas finished off his career with two seasons for Ilves Tampere and retired in 1987.
