Jordan Elkins is a former women's ice hockey player for the Quinnipiac Bobcats in ECAC women's ice hockey. During the 2010–11 Quinnipiac Bobcats women's ice hockey season, Elkins was named team captain.[1]
Playing career[]
Elkins was a four-year member of the Wasilla Boys Varsity Hockey Team. In her four years with the boys team, she won three Regional Championships and finished fourth in the state. In addition, she competed for the Alaska Northstar Under 19 team.
NCAA[]
Her freshman season with the Quinnipiac Bobcats was in 2008-09. She appeared in all 34 games for the Bobcats, playing both forward and defense. Her first collegiate point was an assist on October 4 in a 5-3 loss to St. Cloud State. She assisted on Evelina Husar's first career goal in a 5-1 loss to Boston University on November 15. Her longest point scoring streak of the season came on December 5 and 6, respectively.
Elkins was named captain for the second consecutive season during the 2011–12 Quinnipiac Bobcats women's ice hockey season. In a 3-0 victory over Yale on November 4, 2011, Elkins socred her third goal in as many games.[2]
Personal[]
Her father, Brent Elkins played varsity football for the Louisiana State University Tigers and earned letters in football from 1976 to 1978.[3]
