Johntanner

John Tanner (born March 17, 1971 in Cambridge, Ontario) is a retired professional ice hockey goaltender who played 21 games in the National Hockey League. He played with the Quebec Nordiques.

He played Junior "C" hockey for the New Hamburg Firebirds in 1986-87 and then played major junior for the Peterborough Petes, London Knights, and the Sudbury Wolves from 1987 to 1991. The Quebec Nordiques chose him 54th overall in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft and called him up for one game in the 1989-90 season and six games in 1990-91 while he was still a junior.

He got into another 14 games for the Nords in 1991-92 but that was the end of his NHL career. He spent the rest of his career in the minor pros until he retired in 1997.
