John Sheridan (Born September 18, 1954, in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is a retired American hockey center.

Sheridan played for the University of Minnesota. He was chosen 96th overall by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1974 NHL Amateur Draft and 92nd overall by the Indianapolis Racers in the 1974 WHA Amateur Draft.

Sheridan went on to play 69 games in the World Hockey Association with the Racers in 1974-75 and 1975-76. He scored 18 goals and 13 assists.

He retired in 1982.
