
John Danby (born July 20, 1948 in Toronto, Ontario) was a professional ice hockey player who played 150 games in the World Hockey Association. He played with the New England Whalers and scored 16 goals and 25 assists in 150 games.
He played for the Boston University Terriers from 1969 to 1972. In 1972 he turned pro with the Whalers. Prior to BU, he played for the Dixie Beehives, and was a two-time Metro Junior B MVP, scoring 50 points in 30 games in 1966-67, and repeated as MVP in 1968.
Danby retired in 1979 after playing for the Cape Cod Freedoms.
