John-Paul Kelly (born November 15 1959, Edmonton, Alberta) is a retired ice hockey player. He played 400 games for the Los Angeles Kings.

He played junior hockey for the New Westminster Bruins from 1975 to 1979 and won the Memorial Cup in 1977 & 1978. He also played for Canada at the 1979 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.

Kelly was chosen 50th overall in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings. Except for 49 games in 1980-81, Kelly played his entire pro career for the Kings. He was a strong defensive forward on a team that had top scorers like Marcel Dionne and Charlie Simmer. He played in 400 games for the Kings, scoring 54 goals and 70 assists.
