Joffredesislets

Joffre Wilfred Desilets (April 16, 1915 – November 30, 1994) was a professional ice hockey player who played 192 games in the National Hockey League. He played with the Montreal Canadiens and Chicago Black Hawks. He was born in Capreol, Ontario.

He played junior hockey for the Stratford Midgets from 1931 to 1934 and then senior hockey in the Maritime provinces in eastern Canada. In 1935 the Montreal Canadiens signed him as a free agent.

Desilets played three seasons for the Canadiens and was traded to the Chicago Black Hawks in 1938 for Lou Trudel. He played two seasons for the Hawks, followed by two seasons in the American Hockey League.

From 1942 to 1945 Desilets played senior hockey in Ontario and British Columbia. After that he played three seasons in the minor pros and one season in Paris, France. In 1949 he joined the senior Renfrew Lions for three years, retirung in 1952.

In the NHL Desilets played in 192 games and scored 37 goals and 45 assists.
